| Whole Grains |
|
I love potatoes and rice. I grew up on white rice but I'm getting a lot better at using whole grains. I am big on using whole wheat bread and rolls. Now we have another reason to switch to the whole wheat side of life. A recent study shows that those who eat 2.5 servings of whole grains a day are less likely to have heart disease. Click here for a review on the study.
How to determine whole grains from the fake stuff: A whole grain consists of the entire grain seed of a plant. This seed, also known as the kernel, is made up of three key parts: the bran, the germ, and the endosperm.
